After the COVID-19 Pandemic
After the COVID-19 Pandemic
During quarantine, we have all coped with changing fitness routines. In light of this global pandemic, you may have been thinking how your fitness will change after a life changing event. Based on a blog by Thomas Plummer, Titled “What’s next after the trauma”, the pandemic has made us more cautious of cleanliness, social distancing, small groups, socializing in general, and most importantly the value of your health. Going forward, you may be thinking how your everyday lives can incorporate all of these factors, not just to prevent CoronaVirus, but all kinds of germs! You’ve tried exercising on your own, and it didn’t produce the benefits you wanted. You think to yourself, if only I had more weights, more equipment, more variety. It’s no surprise you will be looking for a gym encompassing all these new concerns.
Clean, sterile environment - It’s no surprise we will be seeking cleanliness in the emerging life after COVID-19. Many gyms are notorious for lack of care by clients and staff alike. Leaving behind unwiped weights and equipment, and uncared for floors.
Social distancing - We are all looking forward to the closeness of our friends again. However, we’ll be more aware of how close people are. You won’t want to be sweating and rubbing against someone sweating next to you. Look for gyms that allow you to have plenty of room to both perform the exercise and feel ample room to socially distance.
Small groups - Social distancing regulations remain for the time being, and even once they are lifted we’ll still be more aware of larger groups. The bigger the group, the bigger the chance of germs!
No lines - We have waited in enough lines! At the grocery store, waiting for toilet paper, waiting for the bank-enough! We don’t want to wait in line for our desired exercise equipment too!
The good news, Bluffton, SC is covered! eFitClub is well known for cleanliness, many clients even saying it’s cleaner than a hospital. This fitness facility also offers plenty of room for individuals to maintain social distancing while exercising and apps for interacting digitally, when we can’t be there in person. Small group fitness is already the name of the game for all classes in the Mind Body and MX4 studios, never more than 4-8 bodies in one place under one coach. Lastly, eFitClub has eGym, a perfectly timed circuit for strength training, allowing ample time for clean up and transition to the next machine. and no waiting
The pandemic has showed us, once again, that maintaining excellent fitness is one of the most effective ways to avoid illness and disease
